OUR WORK

WHAT WE DO

South Asia CMJ is formed as a non-profit organization with the sole purpose of raising funds for charitable, vocational, and educational purposes, primarily in South Asia.  Our mission is to give financial support to ministries that are aligned with our Christian values; ministries led by country nationals involved in church planting, vocational training, and support of various ministries such as medical van, education, financial support of pastors, financial support of refugees, etc.

100% of funds (less the cost of transmission of funds) raised by South Asia CMJ go directly to individuals/organization that serve the goals of South Asia CMJ. We greatly appreciate all financial contributions, big or small, to support for the following ministries and many more across India and Nepal.

Individuals interested in requesting funds for impactful initiatives can find more information on the process and apply by clicking the button below.

CURRENT STORIES

TAILORING CLASSES

These classes teach women from extremely poor and impoverished families how to make clothes and other objects they can sell in order to provide a living for their family.  This income allows these families to provide basic needs as well as school fees for their children. After they graduate, many of these ladies need a sewing machine in their home in order to continue their work. Each sewing machine costs approximately $110.00.

MEDICAL VAN

Medical vans provide free medical care for poor villages who have no access or money for medical treatment. This van provides a doctor, nurse and pharmaceuticals for those who need care.  It costs about $1000 a month to cover the cost of the doctor, nurse , pharmaceuticals, gas, insurance, etc.  This van is a beautiful way to show the love and care of God.

VILLAGE MINISTIRES

There are many ministries in the villages including schools for slum children, vacation Bible schools, tutoring classes, English classes, and worship services.  These are often done through a village pastor who is dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus with all those in the village. Many pastors serve multiple villages, traveling by foot or bicycle. Each village pastor needs at least $300 per month for basic family needs.

SPECIAL NEEDS

One of our long time friends from Eastern Maharashtra is in full time ministry with his father and 7 other pastors. Because December is the month to celebrate Christ’s coming into our world as Emmanuel, God with us, it is also the perfect month to share the gospel message with believers and unbelievers in the many villages where the pastors share God’s love.  They feel God’s call  to give calendars with a scripture verse for each day of the year to 600 families for the cost of $360.

ANURADHA & AAROHI

Support Anuradha & Aarohi – Give Them Hope
Anuradha Sunil Suryawanshi is a 27-year-old woman who is both mute and deaf. Her husband abandoned her after marriage, leaving her to raise their beautiful daughter, Aarohi, all on her own. Despite her struggles, Anuradha works tirelessly—doing farm labor, washing dishes, and taking on small village tasks. Sadly, many people take advantage of her, giving her little to no pay, making it extremely difficult for her to survive.

Not only does Anuradha care for Aarohi, but she is also responsible for her elderly parents, both 76 years old. With no stable income, providing for her daughter’s education, household expenses, and medical needs has become an overwhelming burden. Aarohi dreams of going to school and receiving an education that will secure a better future for her.

A Woman of Faith & Strength
Despite the hardships, Anuradha finds hope in Jesus. She attends weekly prayer meetings, clapping and rejoicing in worship. Even though the community does not respect her, God loves her deeply. She remains strong in faith, trusting in His provision.
